How does the refrigerator ice maker know how to go out in the middle of Summer? That’s something to think about while you follow the instructions for how to replace a Whirlpool refrigerator ice maker motor. I’m writing about a Whirlpool refrigerator because that’s what I have, that’s what broke and that’s what I fixed. These directions are for replacing a side-by-side Whirlpool refrigerator ice maker motor.

Step 1

Before you start tearing your Whirlpool refrigerator apart, check to be sure that the ice maker motor is the problem. First check the plastic water supply tubing to see if water is getting to the ice maker. Then make sure other parts of the refrigerator are getting power. Do the lights come on when you open the door? If these things seem to be working, maybe the ice maker is the culprit.

Step 2

HOLD IT! Before you start pulling things apart consider taking some pictures of the ice maker motor assembly. Don’t forget you’ve got to put the thing back together. I use my cellphone for this.

Step 3

Hold on one more time! Please step away from the ice maker! Long enough to turn off the power and the water anyway. You probably don’t have to turn either of them off but in an article like this I’m suposed be responsible and tell you to do it.

Step 4

O. k. , go ahead and rip into it. First remove the plastic guard on front of the ice maker motor. Gently pull the white plastic gear wheel from the axle on the front of the motor assembly. Then use your screwdriver to remove the screws on the corners of the ice maker motor assembly.

Step 5

Remove the screws that hold the ice maker motor assembly to the inside wall of the refrigerator. Then pull the motor assembly far enough off of the wall to expose and disconnect the power supply wiring harness on the side of the ice maker. Now take the motor assembly off of the ice maker. Now you’re ready to take the motor assembly to the parts store to show the associate the exact part you want for your Whirlpool refrigerator. Or you could always order it off of eBay and wait for it to be delivered to your house.

Step 6

Reconnect the power supply wiring harness to the new ice maker motor. Put the screws back in place on the corners of the motor assembly. Slide the new gear wheel onto the shaft. Reattach the assembly to the inside wall of the refrigerator. Put the guard back on and turn the water and power on. If everything is working properly, you should be able to see and/or hear the ice maker start to fill with water.

Ice makers are very useful kitchen appliances at homes and in businesses. Beat the thirst and heat anytime with a delicious cold drink.

Ice makers are machines that produce ice from water. This machine freezes the water placed inside the machine and forms the ice. Sometimes it is also called the ice machine. This is usually a luxury appliance used for ice production. It can be brought along outdoors when vacationing.

The healthcare groups find it handy especially in sports activities where a cold compress first aid treatment might be needed. The grocery stores and convenience store sells loads or blocks of ice produced from ice makers. The lodging houses and food services like restaurants and cafes never run out of ice makers because most of their customers look for ice for their drinks. Some restaurants serve the coolest desserts that need lots of ice cubes.

There are many types of ice makers. It comes in many forms like the refrigerator ice makers. There are also some for commercial use, portable, indoor or outdoor, under the counter and dry ice makers.

Among these types, the portable ice maker is one useful home appliance. It is quite compact yet produces enough amount of ice perfect for special occasions like parties. It is best for home use. This is very useful in the kitchen or in your drinking bar. Food and drinks preparation are done more quickly especially if serving some guests.

This is very useful especially during summer time. One portable ice maker is the Contessa. This is stylish and very easy to use. It certainly requires no plumbing. It produces three sizes of ice. In as fast as 12 minutes, 12 ice cubes can be produced also.

Home ice makers are convenient when preparing a quick fix of cold beverages anytime. There is also what we call the free freestanding ice makers. These are those that produce ice in just a short time. They can produce up to 50 lbs of ice for the whole day.

Summertime is the hottest season and also the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors. Family and friends will normally plan outdoor barbecue gatherings. They bring along ice makers to put ice in their sodas and other beverages. It is the perfect refreshments to barbecues and other grilled foods.

If you have your own portable ice maker at home, plan your own summer parties because summer is fast approaching. You would not have a problem when it comes to ice because your portable ice makers can never get you wrong.

Try to buy your own ice maker now. It will offer a lot of advantages for your kitchen needs. It will save you the hassle of having to run in the market to buy ice every time you need it. It is half-melted already by the time you reach home.

Commercial ice products also come in smaller chunks, one reason why it melts faster. A personal ice maker produces bigger and more solidified outputs. We use ice everyday that your purchase will surely be worth it. It is not just a summer appliance. We love ice on our drinks even on a cold day. We love a cold fruit salad and shakes.

Another advantage of ice makers is it can help you preserve your food in an inexpensive way. You just need to produce ice in a few minutes and put your food in an ice bucket full of ice. You do not need to put on your refrigerator when you are just going to eat your food in less than an hour. It will save a lot on electricity consumption.

There are three different sizes of ice that can be made with this machine.

You don’t need to connect the AI-100S to a drainage line. Simply turn it on, fill it with water and go. It connects to a standard household outlet and has a full ice bin indicator on the front panel. You’ll also know when it needs more water because there is an indicator for that on the front panel as well. A side mounted drain is used to empty the unused water from the tank.

To clean the ice maker, just wipe with soap and water. There is a one year manufacturer’s warranty and you can use tap or bottled water with this unit. This unit is fully portable and does not have to be permanently installed. It comes with a removable bin and ice scoop.

When your portable ice maker arrives, remember to clean it before using it. If it has a self clean cycle you should run it with a capful of vinegar or lemon juice . This helps to remove any plastic taste from the machinery that might flavor your ice. You should run a cycle like this every so often to clean the ice maker from impurities and help remove any calcium build-up cause by hard water.

The next time you are holding a lukewarm drink or have a hankering for a smoothie, think about buying an icemaker. Specifically think about buying the NewAir AI-100S. You can learn more about ice makers at www.air-conditioner-home.com/compact-icemaker.

Portable ice makers are great gourmet items to show-off at your next get-together or party. Such units will also save you time, money, and effort. Say goodbye to frantic runs to the store for ice in the middle of a party or wasting money on overpriced store ice – a portable ice maker gives you an endless supply of ice within minutes.Â

Although most modern refrigerators have built-in ice makers, they are often slow and may not have the ability to produce larger amounts of ice at once. As such, one of the most beneficial features of a portable ice cube machine is that it produces ice quickly. Once plugged in, simply pour in water, set your desired ice cube size, and the ice-making cycle will immediately begin. In most cases, there is no installation required.  While these appliances are not designed to store large quantities of ice for prolonged periods of time, they can still produce ice rapidly and are a welcome addition to any home, office, boat, or RV.Â

Portable ice makers come in a range of styles and sizes, so when choosing a unit, pay attention to these details:

Ice Making Capabilities: As opposed to refrigerator ice makers which can take up to 30 minutes to make a small batch of ice, portable ice makers take only minutes – anywhere from 7 to15. Pay attention to how quickly each ice making cycle takes, as well as how much ice can be produced in a day.Â

Ease of Use: Most portable ice makers such as the NewAir AI-100BK or AI-100R are extremely simple to operate. In most cases, bottled or tap water is usually poured directly into the water reservoir. Some larger or commercial units may even be able to accommodate a direct water line.Â

Ice Cube Size: Look for a portable ice maker with more than one ice cube size and/or shape. A quality unit will usually allow you to choose from three cube sizes – large, medium, or small. Some models may be able to produce different shapes of ice such as cubed or crushed.Â

Durability: Look for a portable ice maker that is sturdy. Stainless steel or heavy-duty plastic are both good choices in terms of housing materials.Â

Appearance and Design: Select a portable ice maker that goes best with your décor and other home appliances. Many commercial units can be quite large, so choosing the right size is also important. If you have limited kitchen storage space, you’ll want to look for a compact countertop model.Â

Easy to Clean: Being able to rinse out and wipe your ice maker down when it’s no longer in use makes life easier. However, some ice makers also come with “self-cleaning” functions and/or side mounted drains. This will allow you to easily empty out any unused water from the tank.Â

Recommended Models: Our product team recently came across two new portable units from NewAir – the AI-100BK and AI-100R. These ultra-modern units have the ability to make up to 35 pounds of ice per day in three different sizes. Available in either black or red, these eye-catching, counter-top units are not only efficient, but they also look great sitting in your kitchen. Best of all, the NewAir AI-100BK and AI-100R do not require direct plumbing. Just fill the reservoir with water and ice is made in as little as 15 minutes!Â
