Already had one of these for myself. I don’t have a good back and i entertain regularly. so these ice makers are great for me. It puts out ice pretty fast so i just have to turn it on before people start arriving.

The first unit arrived DOA (dead on arrival), I contacted the company and they shipped a new one out that day. It arrived with a return slip for the other one. The new one works great. It is so nice to deal with a company that backs it’s product. I would highly recommend any of Newair products.

Only problem I had was knowing if it was running or not, light comes on, then off, then… nothing for a long time. But it did finally start making ice. Now that I know how it operates I’m quite happy with it. The
bigger cubes take a lot longer to produce than expected, if you want ice in 10 minutes, start with the smallest cube size. However I’d recommend the product overall. Draining the water is a bit of a nuisance but at least the port doesn’t leak.

I didn’t have a good experience with this item. Got it and followed instructions for running through lemon water as directed. It did make ice then but only once dumped it into the basket. Since it would not dump into the basket, it wouldn’t make more ice unless I manually picked up the cubes out of the upper bin where they are released. I gave it ample time to dump and even tried turning it on and off to accomplish the dumping thinking I had turned it off by accident or something, but no luck. Interestingly the troubleshooting page didn’t address this particular situation and when I tried to find the number for the company in the instruction manual, there was nothing in it as to how to contact the company, so I decided to return it to Amazon, something I was dreading. I can’t tell you how pleasantly surprised I was when I discovered the return procedure through Amazon was a breeze! Very easily accomplished (assuming UPS really does come pick it up in the next 3 days).

This unit failed in less than 6 months. Cheap plastic moving parts will eventually do you in.
If you feel compelled to gamble on this item, DO NOT purchase from AIR&WATER.
I began working with AIR&WATER customer service March 3rd. As I write this review it is March 26th. 23 days and counting and they still have not resolved my dispute.
When contacted for “customer service” AIR&WATER sent me a link to an online exchange/return page. On this page I was given the option to return the item for a refund minus 15% for restocking. You only have 30 days to return for a full refund.
I chose to return and lose 15% because this item is not built well and will never last because the tray mechanism is made of plastic. Eventually all ice is not cleared, the machine runs and the plastic pieces grind down eventually making the unit inoperable.
I was then told that I COULD NOT return this $200 powers sucking paperweight, but could exchange it. Then I was told I COULD return the item, but before I could return it AIR&WATER sent me another unwanted unit. It took several calls to receive an RMA label for an item I never wanted nor ordered. I even offered to keep it, and give the unit another try, but I was assured after the extra hassle, that I would get the refund.
Finally, they received both units and a refund check was “in the mail”. That was March 17th. Now, it is March 26th. I have called customer service AGAIN and they can’t find any information about my refund in their system. Now, I’m waiting for the manager, to “look into it” and call me back.
