Ice maker is dripping water into the bucket. Any easy fix for this?

The ice maker is a 3 year old generic replacement in a Roper frig. The dripping stops if the ice level bar is raised.

    If this unit has a float valve, maybe the float valve is not closing letting fresh water in all the time. If it has a solenoid valve maybe the solenoid valve is not closing all the way

    There is a small set screw that you can adjust to control the inlet valve. Take off the front cover and look for the adjusting screw on the side panel. It usually has arrows indicating it if for adjusting. There is a picture here:
