Bought this at Target for 109. 00. Best price that I have found for a counter-top ice maker. It dumps cubes into the basket every ten minutes until it is full! A previous reviewer stated that the “add water light” would stay on. This is addressed in the instruction book. I have had no problems whatsoever. I checked out units that cost much more and found they were about the same size and turned out ice at about the same rate. I would recommend this unit on my experience. We use a lot of ice, here in Arizona, and this augments the ice-maker in the fridge so we never run out.

I desperately need to get one of those portable ice makers, since I live in an apartment where the refrigerator is not an ice machine and get one is not an option. I waited until I found a unit for a price I was willing to pay and this unit forms the Emerson bill.
Yes, the device is big and heavy. But it’s so great to have as much ice as you want when you want. The unit makes ice very well, in three different sizes. The cubes are a little smaller than I expected, but that’s OK. You can always select the high setting for most cubes. (I usually use medium term.) The unit is 9 cubes at a time, and it takes maybe 20 minutes to make the first batch of ice, maybe 10-15 minutes for consecutive batches. ” br />
The cubes are of tubular shape, with holes in the middle. The design makes them easy to put in Ziploc bags and store in freezer until ready to serve. (No need to run the machine every day!) If they stick together, a little unbalanced must separate cubes.
A couple of things to keep in mind: < br />
Before using for the first time, add a little vinegar to the water and operate the machine. Dump the ice water and drain. Then do a test with lemon juice in water. Once again, dump the ice and drain. Then do some shopping with clean water. If you do not, the ice will be a little chemical taste, even after several passages. (I thought that several lines of plain water would remove the taste, but it has not. The vinegar and lemon juice, however, has been around in style.) In addition, you should probably use filtered water for a cleaner taste. (I use my well water that has passed through my filter facuet Pur.)
The plug for drainage of water is very low. Be careful with him. Also, because the strip is so small, the drainage of water takes some time. Gently tilt the unit (careful!) Assist to slightly accelerate the process.
So yes, the machine has some minor flaws, but the convenience more than makes up for it. It is good to have ice in case of need, and it is so cool to watch the machine in action, when top-”spatula” ice picks, and enters into the basket! This is one of the best kitchen appliances I have ever bought, and I’m hopeful it will last for many years!

This is a nice-looking machine, small enough to fit on the countertop without taking up a lot of space, and it’s relatively quiet while it’s supposedly working. It’s not so heavy that it would wear you out lugging it out if you need to take it outside or to a party.
Those are the good points.
Unfortunately we could never get it to actually make ice. The “add water” light came on every time we tried. We had water below the fill line, above the fill line, and at the fill line, and nothing worked. We finally packed it back in the box and returned it. Perhaps we got a bad one, but I’m not willing to take a chance on the same model.

Small, quiet and more rapid which you can expect. The ice is complète into 50 min.& #13; Note: 5/5
To fix the add water LED on error – remove screws that hold on back cover, then remove the screws that hold on the top over, next you will see a small piece of metal that is supposed to be bent to touch the stream of water when the pump is running. Bend the metal so that its in the stream of water when running. Now you will not get a false error of “Add Water” when the unit is full of water.
